Having quickly established a reputation for imaginative and thoughtful design, the studio has been kept busy from the start, developing projects for clients in the cultural and commercial sectors, and producing exciting work for print, exhibitions and events. After the initial start-up phase, the design team was keen to develop a new visual identity that would reflect the evolution and support the next stage of the studio’s progress.
Branding a design practice is a very precise matter, so focus was given to the studios solutions-oriented approach and a simple and straightforward design system was introduced. Inspired by clever design that encourages discovery, the design was playful, yet accessible and functional, with special attention to detail and consideration for context.
The bespoke typeface Conrad was developed exclusively for Transfer Studio as part of the identity and through it’s friendly curves and open letters it nicely reflects the playful and approachable character of the practice. The typeface works best for display purposes but can also be used for shorter texts.
The design system has seamlessly and imaginatively integrated a wide palette of materials and techniques that reflected the studios passion for print and sets the right example to our clients by leading the way.
