Creative Media Database is a vital online resource of information and inspiration for advertisers. In addition to case studies of creative media executions from around the globe, it provides regular analysis of the way that commercial communications are changing.

 

First launched in 2005, CMD pioneered in making accessible an extensive database online featuring the worlds most interesting advertising campaigns, but the website had quickly grown out of its initial structure and was struggling to expand with new services and products with its rigid webdesign.

 

Our response was to carefully examine ways of making the site user-centred and allow it to change and grow more organically. By inserting a clear hierarchy of information and adding a clean and flexible vertical grid we also optimised the use of space and eased legibility. A useful colour-coding system marking the content was introduced as an effective navigational tool in a reduced interface.

 

Since the launch of our new design the client has received lots of positive feedback from regular users, traffic to the site has increased greatly and new products are regularly introduced.
